The Renovascular Forum is an established international society for the study of renovascular disease. The epidemiology, biology, clinical presentation, and intervention possibilities have made this an area of great interest to nephrologists, surgeons, and radiologists, and these cross-specialty interests are combined in the Renovascular Forum and the Journal of Renovascular Disease.
The Renovascular Forum has an annual one-day meeting, covering research in progress, case presentations, and state of the art lectures. The next meeting will be Thursday 4th March 2004 at The Postgrad Centre, University Hospital Birmingham, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Edgbaston, Birmingham.
This year sees the launch of the new online journal; the Journal of Renovascular Disease. Until recently, the Renovascular Forum has been predominantly based in the UK. Now it wishes to broaden its membership by inviting individuals from all countries to participate in its meetings, discussions, and journal.
All physicians, radiologists, and surgeons as well as basic researchers working in the field are entitled to become members of the society.
Members receive a subscription to the online journal Journal of Renovascular Disease. This publishes conventional research and clinical results, reviews and editorials. It also has a Bulletin Board, allowing real time discussion between members of the society. All articles are as citable and accessible through libraries as a conventional printed journal.
